Hello and Welcome to Defense Careers HQ, a premier resource for transitioning military personnel, veterans and anyone who wants to learn more about DoD Contracting Jobs and DoD Contracting careers.

I’m  Ben Sainz (pronounced like “signs”) and I have over 22 years’ experience as DoD contractor and I am also a recent retiree from the US Army Reserves. In March of 2017 I joined a program called Veterati to help mentor and assist veterans and their spouses with their career transition and job search. 

After several mentor sessions I discovered I was providing similar recommendations so I created this website to help veterans and non veterans alike secure and suceed in a job as a DoD contractor.  Through this site I will share the knowledge and insights I have gained throughout my career as a DoD contractor to all who will benefit from this information.  Please see my LinkedIn profile for more details on my career journey.
