Boeing has an overall clean and easy to navigate website design.   Their career page allows you to browse by the following career areas; Business, Cybersecurity, Engineering, Information Technology and Manufacturing.  Once you select a category you are presented an opportunity to immediately search for a job or drill into sub categories to learn more about them.  They break out their jobs into College and Entry Level, Experienced Professional.

 

Veterans Resources
Boeing has a dedicated Veterans page that has a Military Skill Translator that summarizes Boeing jobs as they relate to military jobs and skills.   In addition to the Military Skill translator the page encourages veteran visitors to join their Veteran Specific Talent Network and provides tips for joining the Boeing team.  The page also has statistics about their support of veterans and veteran organizations.  For example, the site states Boeing veterans represent 15% of their workforce and that they have hired more than 7,800 veterans since 2011.  Likewise the page has links to Boeing veteran employee profiles and several videos highlighting Boeing’s support for veterans.  If you are a veteran or transitioning military member I encourage you to use Boeing’s veteran resources and to check out their job opportunities.

 

Talent Network
The Boeing Talent Network allows members to apply to jobs and receive job alert updates.  To join the Boeing Talent network you will need to be prepared to provide the following information; First Name , Last Name, Email., Phone Number, Preferred Locations, Area(s) of Interest, Branch of Service, Military Job Title and MOS/AFSC, Most Recent Rank, Anticipated Date of Separation, Active Security Clearance, Name of the Employee who Referred You,  request to upload your Resume.  After you join the Talent Network you can provide Education and Certifications information, Employment History, and Career Preferences.

 

The system allows you to post multiple resume’s and cover letters tailored to each job applied to.  While it takes time to tailor your resume and cover letter for each job, I highly recommend you do this.  The site also allows you to save jobs for posting to later.  I recommend joining the Talent Network and Military Connect to aid in your job search.
